May 24th, 2011 - Alexander Julian – In Store Appearance on Thu June 2nd

5 Time Coty design award winner Alexander Julian will be at R. Derwin Clothiers – The Men’s Store on Thursday June 2nd from 5-8pm.  Alex will be introducing his new limited edition summer linen shirting.  In addition, Alex will be serving his 2003 Vintage Private Reserve Wine.

November 1st, 2010 - Romancing the Plaid w/ Jeffrey Banks

Our distinguished friend and internationally acclaimed fashion designer, Jeffrey Banks, will be the featured speaker this Thursday November 4th at The Women’s Forum to be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Litchfield Community Center.  All are welcome to attend.  Jeffrey will speak on the topic “Our Endless and Enduring Fascination with Tartan”.    Jeffrey and co-author Doria de La Chapelle have written the authoritative reference for all things tartan and plaid, titled “Tartan: Romancing the Plaid”.

Inspired by Jeffrey’s book, our tartan loving window dresser, Ali “Bunny” Morosani, created coordinating windows for our Ladies and Men’s stores.  “Boy with a Checkered Past” is Bunny’s theme for the Men’s window.  Feel free to drop by to view the windows in greater detail and to explore our selection of tartan and plaid merchandise from Scotland.  The gallery below includes select items currently available at our Men’s store.

October 25th, 2010 - Litchfield Magazine – Part II

A true English gentleman, Alexander Duckworth, is featured wearing Derwin attire in the October issue of Litchfield Magazine.  As founder of the marketing firm,  point one percent, Alexander is used to being on the other side of the camera’s lens.  Alexander is seen here wearing a Barbour waxed cotton jacket, Hunter Wellington boots and a cashmere argyle sweater, made in Scotland.
